Agent Pets is built so your work stays on your computer. This page explains, in plain English, the small amount of data involved in buying, activating and updating it.
Who we are
Agent Pets (“we”, “us”) makes the Agent Pets software sold at getagentpets.com. For anything about this policy or your data, email support@getagentpets.com.
What stays on your computer
Agent Pets runs locally. A small helper on your computer, listening only on 127.0.0.1, talks to your coding agents (Claude Code, OpenCode and omp) and to the browser extension. Everything it handles stays on your machine and is never sent to us or anyone else, including:
- your code, prompts, the agents’ replies and the commands they ask to run;
- project names, file paths and branch names;
- your settings, your pets’ names and any photo you use for Your Cat.
There are no accounts, no cloud service and no telemetry.
What data is involved, and why
1. When you buy
Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, the merchant of record for Agent Pets. At checkout Dodo Payments collects what it needs to take payment, calculate tax and prevent fraud, such as your name, email address, billing country or address and payment details. We never see your full card details. Dodo Payments shares with us the order details we need to deliver your license key and support you (for example your name, email address and what you bought). Dodo Payments’ handling of this data is described in its own privacy policy.
2. When you activate and use your license
The extension sends your license key to Dodo Payments’ license service to activate it, together with an instance name that identifies the browser, such as “Chrome on macOS”. This creates an activation record (license key, instance name and time), which is how one license works in up to 3 browsers. About once a week the extension asks the same service whether the activation is still valid. No information about your agents or your work is included.
3. When Agent Pets checks for updates
The helper asks the public npm registry whether a newer version of the getagentpets package exists, and downloads it if so. Like any download, the request reveals your IP address and basic client details to npm, under npm’s own privacy policy. Nothing about you or your work is sent.
These are the only network calls Agent Pets makes.
This website
getagentpets.com uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party trackers or fonts. Like any website, our hosting provider processes standard request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver the pages and keep them secure. When you click Buy, you go to the Dodo Payments checkout, which is covered by Dodo Payments’ privacy policy.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell or rent personal data, show ads, or build profiles. We use the order details we receive only to deliver your license, provide support, process refunds and meet legal obligations such as tax and accounting.
How long data is kept
Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. License activation records are kept while your license exists; if you get a refund, the license is disabled. Support emails are kept as long as needed to help you, and you can ask us to delete them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict its use. Email support@getagentpets.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. For payment data held by Dodo Payments, you can also contact Dodo Payments directly. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change materially affects how your data is used, we’ll say so clearly on this page.
